Meet Michael D. Clinton Sr.

Michael D. Clinton, Sr. is an entrepreneur, author, pastor, humanitarian, technologist, and creative strategist whose life’s work sits at the intersection of faith, access, innovation, and opportunity. With more than two decades of entrepreneurial experience, he has founded, built, and led successful ventures across multiple industries, including restaurant ownership, media and marketing, facilities management, technology, and international missions. His work reflects a rare blend of spiritual discernment, strategic thinking, and practical execution, demonstrating how purpose-driven leadership can create lasting impact across both local and global communities.

Michael’s entrepreneurial journey did not begin with capital, investors, or formal business plans. It began with obedience, creativity, and a willingness to use what was already within reach. Over the years, that approach has resulted in the creation and leadership of multiple businesses and organizations, including Hair Melodies, Burke Street Music Academy, Flashback Smoothies & Grill, MD3 Media Marketing, The Ergan Group (facilities management), and several mission-driven initiatives.

Through these ventures, Michael has employed hundreds of people, created sustainable economic opportunity, and modeled excellence in minority-owned entrepreneurship. His businesses have served local communities while also earning recognition through partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, globally recognized universities, and one of the largest HBCUs in the country.

As the founder of MD3 Media Marketing, Michael built a full-service creative and digital agency that has operated successfully for more than twenty years. What began with a single laptop in his basement grew into a nationally respected firm providing world-class video production, branding, digital marketing, SEO, and strategic communications. MD3’s work has helped organizations expand their reach, amplify their message, and tell stories that move people to action.

Michael is also the President and CEO of a technology company and the creator of the Pastor Pals App, a revolutionary social platform designed to connect pastors, ministry leaders, and faith-based communities across the globe. Born out of his firsthand understanding of the isolation many leaders experience, Pastor Pals provides a safe, faith-centered digital environment for connection, collaboration, encouragement, and resource sharing.

The app has grown significantly, with pastors, ministry leaders, and parishioners subscribing from around the world. Pastor Pals represents Michael’s ability to merge faith and technology in innovative ways, meeting real needs through thoughtful, purpose-driven design.

In addition to his work in business and technology, Michael is a newly released author of Is There’s a Business in Your Basement?, a compelling and practical book that challenges readers to rethink access, opportunity, and entrepreneurship. Drawing from his own journey of building businesses from limited resources, including launching ventures from his basement with little more than faith, skill, and obedience, Michael invites readers to recognize the value of what they already possess.

The book explores how ideas, gifts, relationships, and unused potential often sit overlooked in familiar places, waiting to be activated. Blending real-life stories, spiritual insight, and actionable business principles, Is There’s a Business in Your Basement? serves as both a mindset shift and a practical guide for aspiring entrepreneurs, creatives, and purpose-driven leaders. Through this work, Michael reinforces his core belief that access changes everything, and opportunity is often closer than we think.

Beyond business and technology, Michael’s life has been deeply shaped by ministry and service. He has served faithfully in church leadership for decades, including nearly two decades as Minister of Music at St. Peter’s World Outreach Center in Winston-Salem, where he helped shape the worship culture, mentored musicians and worship leaders, and supported the spiritual growth of the congregation through excellence in ministry.

He is currently the founder and lead pastor of Infusion Worship Church, alongside his wife, Alicia T. Clinton, a role they have held for the past eight years. Built from the ground up, Infusion Worship is rooted in authentic worship, community engagement, spiritual formation, and practical discipleship.

Michael’s humanitarian work expanded globally through his long-standing relationship with Hydrating Humanity, where he served as Advocacy Director. In this role, he helped advance the organization’s mission of providing clean drinking water and hygiene solutions to communities in Kenya. Traveling internationally and witnessing global inequities firsthand reshaped his understanding of access, dignity, and responsibility.

Inspired by that work, Michael and his wife later launched Direct Help Global Missions, a nonprofit organization focused on child sponsorships in Kenya and India, with plans to expand into the Philippines. The organization also supports elderly widows, reflecting Michael’s deep commitment to biblical principles of compassion, stewardship, and justice.

At the core of Michael’s work is a simple yet transformative belief: access changes everything. Whether building businesses from basements, creating technology that connects leaders worldwide, helping communities reach clean water beneath their feet, or mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs, Michael believes opportunity is often closer than we think. It simply requires awareness, obedience, and action.

Michael’s story is also deeply personal. He is a husband of eighteen years, a father, and the product of generational entrepreneurship and leadership. Influenced early by his parents and extended family, many of whom built businesses with their hands, land, and vision, Michael carries a legacy of ownership, excellence, and integrity.

His children grew up alongside his entrepreneurial journey, witnessing firsthand the discipline, faith, sacrifice, and resilience required to build something from the ground up. His two youngest sons, who were present through every phase of business development, from opening storefronts to running errands late at night, are now entrepreneurs themselves, carrying forward the principles they absorbed along the way.

His eldest children are thriving in their own callings as well, excelling in higher education and the technology industry. Their success reflects a legacy that extends beyond business alone, one rooted in excellence, leadership, adaptability, and purpose across multiple disciplines.

Together, his children represent a living testament to the power of access, restoration, intentional parenting, and faithfulness over time.

Through speaking engagements, workshops, consulting, technology, ministry, and writing, Michael is passionate about helping others recognize the potential already present in their lives. His work empowers individuals to see beyond limitation, steward what they have, and build with purpose.
